Individual & Group Psychotherapy

“ PEACE. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work.  It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” –(unknown)

I am a licensed clinical social worker trained in the practice of psychotherapy.  I primarily use psychodynamic, interpersonal, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), in my approach to assisting clients.

My therapeutic areas of interests include, anxiety; depression; stress management; burnout; race-based stress and trauma; relationship challenges; healthy coping and thriving in intimate partner relationship endings such as divorce or long-term dating relationships; working with adolescent girls, undergraduate & graduate students, and adults; and optimizing mental health via holistic health & wellness lifestyle practices.

I am passionate about holistic health and wellness and take an integrative approach to mental health treatment assisting my clients in building healthy lifestyles that provide proactive protection, maintenance, and obtainment of optimal mental health and wellness.

An integrative, holistic health approach means that my clients and I explore and build skills in the areas of mindful awareness, nutrition, sleep, physical activity, rest and relaxation, meaningful work, finances, relationships, environment, spirituality, conventional medical care, and complimentary care, to support their healing.

I support my clients in getting to the root causes of distress, unhealthy lifestyle practices, and ineffective patterns of behavior. This often includes addressing chronic and complex trauma, and identifying core beliefs and societal pressures that have come to influence their behavior and lifestyle choices. With increased awareness, strategies and skills, I support my clients in courageously aligning their actions with their personal passions, desires, and values. This results in a life lived with more intention, a life lived more and more on purpose.

Fees and Health Insurance

I accept cash and credit card payments, including Health Spending Account (HSA/FSA) cards, for payment of services.

I do not accept insurance but will bill Aetna Health Insurance directly for those with Aetna insurance who would like to utilize their out-of-network benefits.

Some insurance companies will provide "out-of-network provider" reimbursement for some portion of your cost for mental health services. Please contact your insurance provider to learn if they provide these benefits.
